EduBridge is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use EduBridge.

EduBridge is owned and operated by ABNO Softwares International Ltd (“ABNO,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By using EduBridge, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

From Students/Trainees:
  • Personal details: name, email, phone, institution, student ID.
  • Portfolio content: photos, videos, documents, logbook entries, assessments.
  • Login credentials (encrypted).
  • Payment details (processed securely through Lollapay, M-Pesa, or third-party providers).
From Institutions:
  • Institution name, address, admin contacts.
  • Uploaded documents: attendance registers, mark sheets, compliance records.
  • Trainer and assessor details.
From Employers (when shared by students):
  • Access logs of who viewed or verified student portfolios.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide EduBridge services (ePOE, dashboards, logbooks, assessments).
  • To enable institutions to review, assess, and forward student PoEs to CDACC or QAIs.
  • To process student recharge and institutional licenses.
  • To improve EduBridge features and performance.
  • To provide customer support and resolve issues.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Ownership

  • Students own their personal portfolios. If they change schools, their portfolio stays with them.
  • Institutions own institutional uploads (e.g., attendance registers, official records).
  • EduBridge (ABNO) owns the platform, software, and underlying technology.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • EduBridge is hosted on AWS Cloud with enterprise-grade security.
  • Data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest.
  • Access is restricted by role (student, trainer, assessor, institution admin).
  • Regular backups are maintained to prevent loss.

5. Sharing of Data

We may share your information:

  • With institutions and assessors, for assessment and compliance.
  • With TVET CDACC and QAIs, where required for national assessments.
  • With employers, only when students choose to share portfolios.
  • When required by law, court order, or government regulations.

6. Student Consent

  • Students control who can view their portfolios outside of CDACC/institution requirements.
  • Sharing with employers is always voluntary and student-driven.

7. Cookies & Tracking

EduBridge may use cookies and analytics to:

  • Improve website functionality.
  • Understand usage patterns.
  • Optimize performance.

Users can disable cookies in their browser, but some features may not work.

8. Your Rights (Kenya Data Protection Act)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to regulatory requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing.

9. Data Retention

  • Student portfolios are retained as long as the student maintains an active recharge.
  • Institutions’ records are retained as required for compliance with CDACC/QAIs.
  • Data may be archived securely after recharge expiry, unless deletion is requested.

10. Children’s Privacy

  • For CBC learners under 18, EduBridge accounts must be created with parent/guardian or school oversight.
  • Parents may request access or deletion of a minor’s data at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or EduBridge features.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

2. Services Provided
  • ePortfolio of Evidence (ePOE): Students capture, store and manage digital evidence of learning and skills.
  • Institutional Dashboards: Institutions can review, assess and forward PoEs to regulators (CDACC or QAIs).
  • Industry Training & Teaching Practice Module: Institutions can manage student attachments, digital logbooks, attendance and supervisor feedback.
3. Accounts & Subscriptions
  • Students: Must create an account and subscribe to one of the EduBridge plans (KES 750–3,000/year).
  • Institutions: May access dashboards for free with student subscriptions and can purchase an annual license for the Industry Training module.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Misuse of accounts (e.g., impersonation, sharing credentials) is prohibited.
4. Payments & Refunds
  • Student subscriptions are paid annually and are non-refundable once activated.
  • Institutional licenses are billed annually and payable upfront.
  • Payments may be made via mobile money (M-Pesa), Lollapay, credit/debit card, or other supported payment providers.
  • EduBridge does not guarantee refunds except where required by law.
5. Use of the Platform
  • You may only use EduBridge for educational and assessment purposes.
  • Uploading false, plagiarized, or misleading content is prohibited.
  • Institutions and assessors may only use EduBridge for reviewing, approving and forwarding PoEs, or for managing Industry Training records.
  • Employers may only use EduBridge for verifying student skills with the student’s consent.
6. Data Ownership & Privacy
  • Students own their personal portfolios. If they change institutions, their account remains with them.
  • Institutions own assessment records and official documents they upload.
  • EduBridge (ABNO) owns the platform, software and infrastructure.
  • We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act and store data securely on AWS Cloud.
  • Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or with your consent.
7. Intellectual Property
  • EduBridge, its logo, brand assets and all software are the property of ABNO Softwares International Ltd.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform.
8. Service Availability
  • EduBridge is hosted on AWS with high uptime standards.
  • However, we do not guarantee 100% uninterrupted service (maintenance or outages may occur).
  • We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of scheduled downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
  • EduBridge is provided on an “as is” basis.
  • ABNO is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or loss of opportunities arising from the use of EduBridge.
  • Students and institutions remain responsible for ensuring uploaded content is accurate, complete and authentic.
10. Termination
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Students can close their accounts anytime; however, subscription fees are non-refundable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved under Kenyan jurisdiction.
